Phyllis Lechner

Psychological Counselor (BSc Psychology, University of Zurich)

I support couples in building a relationship that feels truly fulfilling and alive.

Relationships fascinate me because they can be both one of the most beautiful and one of the most challenging areas of our lives. They offer us stability, closeness, and connection – and sometimes push us to our limits. Yet it is often precisely at those limits that the greatest potential for growth emerges.

I help couples have the conversations they want to have – but haven't been able to have yet. What matters to me is creating a space where even difficult topics can be addressed honestly and without fear of escalation: without dramatisation, but with real depth. My belief is that a strong relationship isn't built by couples who never have conflicts, but by couples who learn to stay connected even in difficult moments.

I work in a process-oriented way, creating space for new shared experiences – so that more closeness, security, ease, and desire can emerge. I work with people of all genders, identities, and life paths, whether they are seeking support in an acute crisis or looking to consciously strengthen and deepen their relationship.

My Approach

My way of working is based on scientifically proven, effective methods and combines them with a benevolent, warm atmosphere. It's important to me that you feel comfortable with me, because only then can we work effectively on your goals.

The starting point is you as a couple: Your individual strengths and difficulties form the basis on which we build. We develop clear structures, create sustainable connections, and translate insights into concrete routines, so that closeness, trust, and cooperation grow noticeably in everyday life. For this, you will receive practical tools that you can apply yourself in challenging situations.

I work according to a systemic approach. This means we don't look at difficulties in isolation, but in interaction with the relationship and environment. Instead of looking for blame, we make patterns and communication loops visible and develop new, helpful ways of being together.

I offer counseling in German and English. Online appointments are possible, so we can work on your goals via video call, regardless of where you are.
